Marin's Best Beaches

  • STINSON BEACH - Gorgeous, quintessential long stretch of white sandy beach. One of the most popular/busiest beaches in Northern California.

  • BOLINAS BEACH - North of Stinson via. Hwy. 1 via. Olema Bolinas Rd. (locals remove town signs).

  • MUIR BEACH - Windy, coarse sand, great spot for whale-watching and one of the few remaining beaches to allow bonfires.  Dogs allowed.

  • TENNESSEE COVE BEACH | MILL VALLEY - Accessed by a 2-mi. hike from trailhead/parking lot, passing a small freshwater pond.

  • RODEO BEACH | 3 MI. NW OF GGB - Windswept, exhilarating with a shoreline of red and green pebbles.  Ideal for kite-flying, watching the roaring Pacific Ocean.  Dogs allowed.

  • LIMANTOUR BEACH | PT. REYES NATIONAL SEASHORE, WEST MARIN - Calm, wide beach stretching for 3 miles, bound by an estuary; a bountiful wildlife area replete with shorebirds, harbor seals, gray whales...
